It is best to conceptualize neurofeedback as training toward brain stability. The training is "symptom-guided" in the sense that we orient toward the incidence of target symptoms as an index to our success. The video on the right helps to explain how and why neurofeedback training can be a highly effective, non-pharmacological approach to a wide spectrum of symptoms associated with brain instabilities.
