Melanie Berry, MS, BCB, BCBS, CHP, FAIS

Melanie is a double Board Certified (BCIA and NTCB) Biofeedback Practitioner and has a Masters degree in Psychology. She has further specialized her training, supervision, and work experience in psychophysiological stress and pain management and in the application of this in the area also known as behavioral medicine. This advanced training has earned her sub-specialty certificates as a HeartMath Interventionist, Pain Management Specialist, and Stress Management Specialist, and in Microcurrent Therapy.

Melanie is the principal Biofeedback Practitioner for Carolinas Biofeeedback Clinic, LLC, in South Charlotte, NC, where she offers a wide range of biofeedback techniques to clients referred by their physicians or therapists for specific conditions relating to stress or pain.

She also devotes a portion of every week to post-combat soldiers dealing with combat-stress, trauma, and chronic pain as the sole Biofeedback Practitioner in the Pain Center at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC.

She is a member of the VA research team studying the cognitive benefits of HRV Biofeedback on PTSD-induced memory issues at the SLB  Neuroscience Laboratory, and as Primary Investigator for a pilot study to investigate the benefits of HRV Biofeedback as a drug-free intervention for chronic pain conditions in the military.
