Robert Kennedy said, "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" I could see it long before it was a reality: a stand-alone practice offering every state-of-the-art, efficacious Biofeedback technique to the masses. It hadn't been done before, but I just kept asking, why not? The way things were, and, in most places, still are, practitioners trained in other specialties learn maybe one or two Biofeedback techniques as an add-on. For a person to have access to those techniques, they would have to seek out that person's specialty. I believe all the tried-and-true Biofeedback techniques should be accessible to everyone and that collaboration between their specialties and their Biofeedback practitioner should be a matter of course. That's our aim, and I hope it is the future of Biofeedback.

I've always had a passion for helping people, a passion that started after I contracted a kidney disease as a girl. That kind of experience instills in you a heart for helping others learn how to help themselves, just as I was taught to do. And that's exactly what I get to do everyday. It's amazing to be a part of someone's journey to health and wellness.

I love being able to offer clients hope! I value the opportunity to develop relationships with clients and help them work toward better self-regulation and functioning. I have been on the other side of the coin and know how frustrating it can be to not be able to find help for a family member within the traditional medical model. At Carolinas Biofeedback Clinic I feel that we treat the whole person and we can deliver life changing results with compassion and care.

After years of researching stress' impact on the cardiovascular system for my own health, I realized how important it is for people to take care of themselves on a physiological level. Neurofeedback and Biofeedback are the tools that do exactly this. I truly believe that everyone should experience their amazing benefits, just as I have.

Twenty years ago, I was searching for alternative treatments for my depression and came across a self-help book about neurofeedback. I loved the idea of making changes in the brain for relief of mental health symptoms and improved life well-being. It served as motivation for obtaining my education and work experience to become a credible neurofeedback provider.
