Biofeedback is a technique that helps you gain awareness of your own physiology, using sensors to monitor specific biological functions. These sensors then provide you with real time information about what is happening in your body. Once you can “see” the impact stressors have on your body, you can learn to manage and regulate your physiology.
You already have this amazing superpower for wellness and we want to show you how to use it!

Program Content and Description:
In this full-day workshop (9am to 5:30pm) you will experience six modalities of biofeedback: respiration, temperature, skin conductance, heart rate variability, muscle activation and neurofeedback. You will have opportunities for hands-on experiences with biofeedback technologies and will learn techniques to manipulate your body’s response to stress. At the end of the day, you will know which biofeedback techniques can help you the most and you will be more knowledgeable about your physiological responses to stress. Then, you will be able to start applying biofeedback techniques to help you and your clients improve wellness!
About the Presenter:
This workshop will be led and presented by Melanie Berry.
Melanie (MS) is the founder and owner of Carolinas Biofeedback Clinic. She is Board Certified (BCIA – Biofeedback Certification International Alliance) Fellow in Biofeedback, Board Certified in Neurofeedback and Othmer Method Trained in Neurofeedback. She also specializes in psychophysiological stress and pain management techniques.
Upon successful completion of the workshop, you will be offered 6.5 NBCC hours.
Brain Savvy Parents:
Develop Your Baby's Growing Brain!
In this 6-part series, learn how your baby's brain is growing, learning and developing. We will step through six crucial areas of functioning and learn practical ways you can encourage healthy development in your baby. Designed for new or expectant parents, we will learn ways to intentionally foster healthy growth. We will also learn biofeedback techniques to calm your own nervous system so that you can co-regulate with your baby to help them calm down when fussy. In the final class in the series, we will let our babies be our teachers! In our unique B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Baby) class, we will watch our babies for examples of the things we have learned in previous classes as a beautiful wrap-up to the series.
